taking Augusta St. from the crossing of Paulista Ave, go down two blocks any direction (Downtown or Jardins side), and check the urban and alternative style of the street, with foodpark, different kinds of closing stores (mainly El Cabriton T-Shirt Store, unique and amazing), places, fast-foods, bars and also an underground side of the city.
>> visit the MAM Museum
only two blocks away from our Meeting Point, it' a nice option of Cultural Center with several art exibitions offered for free. There is a nice cafe and restaurant inside, and a nice spot to see Paulista Ave. It's opened from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10am to 8pm. It's located in front of the Cyclist Square.
>> visit Temporary Art Exibitions
inside Ibirapuera Park there are two buildings for temporary art exibitions: Oca and Bienal.
- OCA: designed by Oscar Niemeyer, it´s a white building, with the shape of upsidedown bowl, and offers temporary exibitions (always from Tuesday to Sunday).
- BIENAL: a huge building (750m long), in a retangular shape with four floors - also designed by Oscar Niemeye - destinated to an international Art Exibition every two years (odd years) called Bienal. Meanwhile, it might be used for temporary cultural events.
>> Cinemateca Brasileira
>> enjoy the view from MAC rooftop
one block from the Ending Point of "Paulista Ave" tour, it's a great option of cultural center for free, with an amazing permanent art exibition of the history of Brazil (4o and 5o floor), dont missi it! On the ground and underground floor you find temporary art exibitions. Everything for free, it's opened from 9am to 8pm (except on Mondays, when it's closed).
>> wacht the "lights and music" show on the lake
the last "lost-in-time" old mansion of our tour located in Paulista Ave, it's possible to visit inside the house right after the tour (since the garden of this mansion is our Ending Point), the rooms, second floor, and enjoy the temporary cultural events when happening. It´s free to visit, and it closes at 8pm (only on Sundays it finishes at 6pm), and on Monday doesn't open the house, only the garden.
